The Series
The book “Around the World of Knowledge” is the first of the series “Albert Goes to Oxford”. We currently aim at a total of five books, with each book building on the story, yet offering a unique learning component.
When we thought about which skills would be important to teach young children, we discerned what were for us the five most important ones. We then developed a different story for each of the books, building one story onto the next, with a world that is familiar and at the same time full of surprises. At the end of each book, children understand experientially the meaning of the story and the skill they have learned along the narrative.
Why 5 books
Creating Albert’s world
We dreamt of Albert’s world to be an extraordinary place where some of the world’s classic concepts come to life, reality is intertwined with imagination, and knowledge with adventure.
In Albert’s world books fly and you can travel with them, they speak and you can converse with them, wisdom has its own voice; you can have a dialogue with some of the world’s greatest minds, and libraries open their doors to new worlds. Wait: isn’t this what books and knowledge actually do?
Albert’s world brings to life wonderful aspects for children in a synthesis that engages them to learn, read, see the world from different angles, set high goals, and believe in themselves.
Following the character across different adventures
We can often learn better when we can relate to the person, story, location or information we are learning. We aimed to keep the main character throughout all five books, so that he is relatable from the beginning and continues to do so throughout the series. As Albert learns, so do our readers, and can build up their knowledge as he does.
In this way Albert shares his journey and adventures with his readers, and they themselves can relate to a young, curious, smart boy who wants to understand the world.

Learn to achieve goals one by one with each story
The book series is an overarching achievement that is broken down into five different goals. The goals for the next four books have been delineated, however we will not disclose them yet.
